That's how I see it. There were a couple of funny lines, but overall I thought it was dumb. I can see why people like it though.

As I like to tell my 2 friends that hate it "you are just too stupid to understand subtle humor." No real offense intended, of course...this is just a common argument we have. I say that, they say "What? I get it - he's a dork, I get it - so what's so funny?"

Personally, I loved it, and I enjoy it more every time I watch it. Though they are not similar movies at all, it is just like The Big Lebowski to me - nearly every line is quotably hilarious.

Like Pschreck said, it's a big hit-or-miss movie. I didn't like it when watching, but it's a great movie to quote (I think my location is a quote from the movie). Give it a week to soak in, it gets funnier with time.
