Default Question on a hand!

I bet on the flop because of OESD. I did what I did on the turn because if he had a flush he would raise me. Anyhow, do you guys think this was played correctly?

Looks good to me.

Betting the flop because of your equity edge is good.

Turn seems good for a semi bluff and you can't fold to a raise as you'll likely have loads of outs.

River is obvious.

I think the turn is a check/call for the simple reason of what happened. If he senses your weakness and bets on the turn then you have 1BB to see the river.

I think the flop bet is a typical semi-bluff and looks good. Why call the turn raise and then not call the river bet? Are you hoping your 8 high flush is going to beat him if you hit on the end? Is your straight draw any good? Is your pair of 3s likely to be good? I don't see any reason to call the turn raise and not the river bet. I think this is a very suspect play on your part. I fold to the turn raise.

Being close to the nuts isn't that impotant when you're heads up against an opponent who has shown no aggression.

If he bets when checked to then it costs 1BB to see the river either way. Checking means you avoid paying 2BB and it'll get checked through sometimes.

Still, I think he'll fold often enough to make a profit on a semibluff.

Please correct me if I'm getting this screwed up.
