In an $nl100 game on party, I encountered this hand in the SB. Villain, UTG, was a loose player preflop, pretty conservative postflop.

Let me guess, you won?

The plan is bet because it's the only way you can paid off. This is a situation that comes up too rarely to really be a point of any kind of interesting discussion.

Bet it. Give him a nice shot at chasing a flush or a straight or raising you with a King. Better to bet it, hope he has something to chase with, and does so...than to check, hope he has something to chase with, and hits a hand so he can call your bets. Bet your monsters like you would TPTK, or AA, or a CB.

I guess you make a good point poboy (no wonder your name is green), and i checked which I know is a mistake. Then i checkraise the turn and he folded.

BTW i have noticed that almost all of the hands i posted on 2+2 have been hands i either thought i misplayed or now realize i misplayed. Is that common?

Well, generally, the reason that you post a hand here is because you're unsure of how you played it or you think you misplayed the hand. This particular hand is an instance of "I have the deck crushed, how do I extract" and the answer is almost univerally the same: Bet, because it's just so unlikely that your opponent has a hand good enough to bet, but it's possible that theey might have some type of draw or second best hand that they'll call with.
