Re: Easy fold on the flop with overpair?
Call it down and do not fold until you see great action on turn or any action from cold callers with a 3rd flush card comes to board and you're not improved.

Re: Easy fold on the flop with overpair?
Cap flop, not call. 1SB a sensible investment - will clarify whether LP is mucking around and (when he leads or checks on turn) BB's position. If LP folds flop and BB checks turn, check behind and call down unimproved. If LP calls flop and BB checks turn, bet and fold to raise from either player. If BB bets turn ... well, you are stuck in the pot now unless LP raises. Call down.

There is no real scenario on this flop that leaves us drawing to 4 outs on the turn. [/ QUOTE ] 66 |

Well, I guess I did screw this one up. I folded. It was capped 4 ways and capped on the turn when a non diamond blank came on the turn. So I probably would have folded then.
Both BB and LP had an 8 and they ended up chopping. I think the other 2 must have had flush draws as they both folded on the river. I can't remember the last time I folded a hand like this in a situation like this, so why I posted the hand. Thanks, Phil |
