Default PokerNews Article Regarding Poker Books -- And 2+2

The Article

Regarding 2+2, it says (among other things):

"They're pretty much it if you're going for the top poker books."

Nice to see 2+2 get the respect it deserves.

Hi Barron:

There are a number of things inaccurate in the article. For instance we don't have 43 poker books. Our total family of books is now 30 titles, and a bunch of those are not poker.

Also, their estimate of poker books to be released this year of 60, which came from a USA Today article, in my opinion is way low. My guess would be about triple that.

One other thing I want to comment on. I need to commend Anthony Curtis of Huntington Press for stating that we are the leader in this field. Normally when other publishers or writers are interviewed on this subject they won't even mention that we exist. Also, I know Blair Rodman who is one of the author's on Huntington's upcoming book Kill Phil. He's a very smart person and has done well in the tourneys, so without having seen Kill Phil I suspect it will be pretty good.

Best wishes,
Mason

I'm surprised to hear that, I actually wrote this title off in my mind, I pre-assumed it would be a jopke (pun intended). I'll keep this on my list to explore.

I thought I read somewhere that Ian Andersen was one of the authors of Kill Phil or was it another book. Does anyone know?

Same here. I assumed likewise that it was going to be some type of ... I don't know what.

I'll definitely give it the ol' spin when it ships.
