Poker from Vegas - call river bet?
A hand from Mandalay Bay 2/4 $200 buy-in.
I'm still steaming from a terrible beat a few hours previously, and am very quietly nursing a $200 stack. Typical live gambler (too aggressive, calls too much) with a huge stack limps, I limp with A8o from the cut-off (what am I thinking?!), nondescript/tight player limps on the button. Fairly bad player raises to $10, we all call. Everyone has me covered. Flop is 988 rainbow, $42 in the pot. Raiser and gambler check to me, I bet $35, and tight/nondescript button and gambler call. Turn is the horrid 9. We all check. There's $112 in the pot. River is a blank, 2 or something. Now gambler comes out with an $100 bet. I fail to pick up any tells from gambler or button, just to make a change. So ... fold or call? And should I have bet the turn (and how much)? Interested in advice |
