Hand converter news
You guys may already know this, but just in case:
1: PokerStars can automatically save hand histories to your hard drive. 2: They work with my hand converter - cool. 3: This does not hold true for PartyPoker. You must have those emailed to you. |

Re: Hand converter news
Probably a good idea to make a thread like this and link it to the FAQ

Re: Hand converter news
I've changed the FAQ to include a link to greenage's latest and greatest, and it includes the fact that you have to use emailed hand histories from Party.

Paradise update
Andy B sent me an email this morning to say that Paradise hands would not convert.
I tested some old histories and they worked. It turns out that Paradise has changed some spacing in their histories. I don’t know when this occurred but thought I saw a Paradise hand posted recently. The problem is fixed, so if anyone else has had this problem you might want to try again. The problem and fix were such that the converter will no longer work with histories that were produced before Paradise made this change, sorry about that. greenage |

One hand at a time
The old version of the converter would convert multiple hands. This latest version was changed to convert only one hand at a time, the first one that it finds.
I made that change because I didn’t want to risk exceeding the bandwidth if someone decided to convert hundreds of hands at a time. In addition, since the converter was never really optimized for multiple hands, I was afraid of being kicked off the site for excessive resource consumption. I don’t know how realistic these concerns are, but since I’m getting free hosting, I didn’t want to push things. greenage |
