AC Tropicana??

Going to AC in 2 weeks, I'm looking for some opinions of the Tropicana, I've never played there before?

I've played at the Taj (Filthy Whorehouse), and Borgata (Classy), and figured I'd check out the Trop.

Opinions? How many tables of low limit do they have running, How's there tournament schedule?

I like playing there. I like the casino better than Borgata. They have a good atmosphere with musicians and lots of good restaurants.

The games are pretty good with lots tourists attracted by the above. The bigger games are mostly at the Taj and Borgata. Sometimes 4/8 is the biggest limit holdem game at Tropicaa.

They have daily tournaments, but you have to be there 2 hours earlier as they sell out. The Taj is the most convenient for tournaments, although it doesn't have the softest tournaments. The Taj has 2 every day and they never sell out.

What kind of tournaments does the Taj hold??

I've never played in a live tournament before, that might be interesting to try out.

Lately (and especially for the summer), the Trop has been running 6/12 and 10/20 successfully (in addition to the regular 2/4 and 4/8 games). They've even had 5/10 NL going. It has been pretty hopping there. And the wait times are never as long as they are for the Borg. The tourneys do seem to sell out quickly, though. I never go to the Taj (scuzz factor), but someone mentioned that the Taj has recently started SNGs, so if you're into that....

The Taj SNG's have horrific rake (50+15). Avoid them.

The trop is under-rated and is on the come-up. Nice room too.

The I like the trop alot, the games are fun and the dealers are pretty good. And once your done with the games, you head over to the quarter and spend all your winnings on booze.

They've also added a few more no-rebuy tournaments to their schedule. I was thinking of maybe heading back down there and trying one of them out.

NLHE like everywhere else these days. All freezeouts at the Taj and also now at Borgata. Tropicana and Sands have mostly rebuys.

The morning Taj MTTs are generally $50+, and the evening $50 or $100. On Saturday night, they have a $300.
