Given that you ignored the pre-flop "not just no, but HELL no...", for what you should do on the flop, ask yourself, what were you hoping for when you called that raise with 87s?

This is it. You got your wish, misguided as it might have been. Might as well get your chips in.

Wow...
If you're willing to call off half your stack preflop with middle suited connectors, you need to re-examine your ENTIRE game. I'd recommend obtaining a solid understanding of starting hand requirements and look up the gap concept. You will lose a lot of money if you continue to play this way. Keep perusing this site and buy a book or two...or eight.
