Default VVP, \"He\'s got a Pair, and...\"

".....they're wired."

WTF???

Can you have a pair and NOT BE, "wired?"

Why the need to the extra qualifier? Rant over

Course you can. You can have a pair using one of your hole cards and one on the board.

..you know what he means. He says it when the camera picks up the players cards. "A wired pair of sevens".

This annoys me too, especially when players say it at the tables. "He could be wired dude".

I just received the World Poker Tour Season II DVD and when they show the players hole cards I can say the exact quote VVP is about to say before he says it. It's hilarious.

(Player looks at 99).

I know he's about to say "Look at this Mike, (Player Name) has picked up a big hand, the Wayne Gretzsky hand, 99, a wired pair of nines)."

And sure enough he says, "Look at this Mike, (Player Name) has picked up a big hand, the Wayne Gretzsky hand, 99, a wired pair of nines)."

yes....he quite frequently makes sure that we know that the 'wired-pair' is 'in the hole'.

'wired-pair of pocket' is popular too.
