$7 is good, it's a pot sized raise. I don't like checking the flop after raising pf, unless you're doing it with a wide range of hands (wich you shouldn't, so I don't like it anyway)

yeah i checked/called the flop becuase i thought he had JJ and i could trap him. was planning on check raising turn all in. i guess i should have checked raised all in on the flop. he overbet the flop so i didnt think he flopped a set. Is that just too much checking?

the problem is, if you reraise AK or something like that (for whatever reason you decided to reraise AK oop, work with me here) you're not checking that flop so if you're very unlucky and this guy is paying attention to what's happening at the table you just screwed yourself

I'm curious as to why you've read him for JJ... 99 or TT seem equally as likely to me.

Yeah, you have a big hand, but you still don't want to give him the lead in the hand. Bet out the flop for 18-20ish (I think that's about 2/3 of this pot), or c/r. Don't check/call.

I really don't like the check on the turn - what if it checks through after you called his flop steal attempt?
