Default How much for Willie Parker

I'm in a deep keeper league where pretty much all #1s and #2s are already on a team. However, the draft was before the Steeler injuries and waivers were locked until this week. We do a bid system, everyone has $100 to start. How much would you bid on Willie Parker this week? You do not need any money to pick up free agents for the rest of the year, but if you have no money left you will only get whoever was passed on by everyone else.

Bid what you think will win. If the league's history tells you that you have to bid all $100 to get him, then do it. You're unlikely to find another player this year that will have remotely the potential impact of Parker, especially in a deep league.

It's his job to lose even if Staley comes back. I was hoping for this to happen. The Steelers have one of the best (if not the best) offensive lines in the game. Parker provides something the Steelers have been missing for the past few years - the ability to break one for a big gain. Staley and Bettis are too old/slow for that. I like the youth and I like the speed. I also like it if Bettis comes in late in the 3rd or even the 4th quarter and can pound on the defense when they are tired and he is still fresh.

As long as Parker can handle the load, it's his to lose with Bettis punishing them late in the game.

*Just one Steeler fan's opinion

Parker won't have another 100-yard game this season.

That is 2 in a row for him. He was also given the start in week 17 last year against Buffalo while they rested Bettis and Staley for the playoffs. Buffalo was fighting for a win to make the playoffs, so it wasn't like they weren't trying. Anyway, Parker ran 19 times for 102 yards in that game. I think with this offensive line, as long as he gets his carries and maintains the starting job, he will do fine.

He might he might not, it's all speculation at this point and I dont consider him to be that good yet untill he proves something.

Because sure things come across the waiver wires during the season all of the time. Much better to wait for those.

To me that means about as much as winning 2 straight SNG's, nothing special.
