do you get rakeback for every hand you're dealt in? or every pot you win?

The pots you win.

That's the only time you pay rake - and sometimes even then the pot isn't big enough to be raked.

Depends on the site I think. Some sites divide the rake evenly amongst everyone dealt in the hand, regardless of who puts what into the pot. Party and Xskins would be an example.

Others you get rake back on just the rake taken from the pots you win.
