Default 1st hand with overpair facing a 3bet push.. is this a standard fold?

First hand of a $60 turbo on Pokerstars.

Stacks are all T1500.

EP makes it 60, bunch of callers, i call in SB with TT.

Flop is 447 with 2 clubs.

EP raiser bets 120 into a 360 pot folds around to hero who check-raises to 400. EP raiser then pushes.

Would you lay down or call here? What is the best overpair that you would fold?

I'm trying to decide if the EP raiser could make this push with a pair like 88 or 99 or what I thought could have easily been AK or AQ of clubs.

Input?

On the flop, you could consider leading for 200 and dumping it if EP comes over the top.

Given your checkraise it seems like a pretty clear fold to me. Your c/r was pretty fat, and I doubt he'd push 88 or 99 to that kind of action (he's also less likely to raise these in EP preflop). AKc and AQc are possible, but for those I'd expect him to lead harder at the flop. His underbet seems to want action and a flush draw should try to reduce it.

As to what hands I'd play here: QQ+ I would put a big reraise in preflop and go from there. JJ is close but I think I also would try to take it down preflop, and if EP came back over the top I'd probably let it go there. With ANY pair TT or below I'll take a flop, playing all but maybe 99-TT for set value. And in a 6 way pot, I'm gonna proceed cautiously with a 99 or TT overpair. Yeah that board was actually pretty safe for you, but you still have to be cautious.

thanks for the reply, the only part I dont quite understand is why you say a flush draw like AK or AQ clubs would bet the flop harder.. wouldn't AQ or AK clubs invite action?

I foolishly called his push and lost to his rockets, but that doesn't change anything - any more responses would be appreciated.

What was your plan when you decided to call the bet preflop?

you check/raise and he pushes... this is the 1st hand and you dont have a read... unless you have 77, AA or a 4, it's a fold

I think folding here is standard and fine unless Villain's a donk.
