[ QUOTE ]
Easiest way to get out of a fight is to tell the guy you're HIV+ and you don't care if he beats you to a bloody pulp. If he still wants to fight, make sure you bite him. [/ QUOTE ] "You don't know where I've been!" |

If he still wants to fight, I would not want to bite him.

1. What the hell is a roundhouse punch?
2. About all you're going to do with an inside leg kick is buckle his knee and probably make him fall to the ground. |

[/ QUOTE ] I have no idea how you seem to see a negative in #2. He said an inside knee kick, not an inside leg kick. P.S., as one who was put on crutches from a hard knee to the inside of my knee in a soccer game, I can tell you that all that talk about "kneecapping" people and all the nerves in the knee isn't overstating it. A wrenched knee is excruciating painful -- the kind of pain that can freeze you solid, lock you down, and take your breath away -- and makes it very hard to move. |

Re: Best way to get out of a fight and still feel good about yourself?
Actually, I've long thought that if I was about to get into a fight where I thought there was a significant chance I would lose, this would be one of my first targets. I figure that a torn ACL or MCL is a hard thing to overcome for anyone, no matter how tough.
To that end, if someone did get back up after said tearing of ligaments, I would have no qualms about going back to the well again and kicking that same knee, or perhaps the other. Also, I hear punching someone in the throat very quickly is a marvelous way to defuse someone. |

Re: Best way to get out of a fight and still feel good about yourself?
My favorite thing to say is something like,
Other guy: Alright, buddy, let's go, you and me right now(or whatever). Me: Are you sure? You don't know me. You don't know who I am or what I can do. If you want to fight, that's fine. I may win, or you may win...but I guarantee you that you will get hurt tonight, regardless. The reason this works is that it brings the reality of the situation to most people who would want to fight(i.e. drunks). That little seed of doubt will be the difference between getting cussed out, and someone taking a swing at me. At least, that's the way I feel about it. That said, I would be hard-pressed to back down from that situation. I did it once, and hated myself for it. Even if I'm going to get my ass kicked, I'd rather that than feel like a punk. |
