Default 10-20 QQ

i continually read that a distinguishing ability of winning high limit players is their ability to fold overpairs in certain situations. i feel like this is one of those situations.
this may be weak-tight.
or maybe it's not so crazy.
i just didn't want to play a large pot v. unknown after he wakes up with a lil strength.
how'd i do?

i open to $80 utg with red QQ, like 4 callers, including villian in BB.

flop ($320) 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
i bet $300, fold, fold fold, BB c/rs to $900.
i fold.

how's the line?

I push over the top, but it really depends on your image.

Good? Terrible? Neutral? It's impossible to tell unless you include stack sizes.

i have $4.5k and villian (BB) has $2k.
sorry.

edited to add the game has just filled, and the table seems to be tightening up. i haven't done squat since the table's filled, and BB prob assumes nothing about my image given this was his first hand at the table.

What do you think he has? Would he not raise you here with 88-JJ? What about A-6d? It seems like you're very often ahead here to me to just fold. I would probably call, bet the turn and fold to a raise.

With a read, I would make this play all the time. But given no read, I have to put his range to any pair between 44 and QQ, and most 2 big diamonds.

Player 1- QQ-44,AdKd,AdQd,AdJd,AdTd,KdQd,KdJd,KdTd,QdJd,QdTd,Jd Td,78s
Player 2- QQ

Your equity against his hand range is 60%. He could also have a lot more hands then this. He could have a hand like A6s/o, A7s/o or 33, or something else along those lines. I just cant imagine laying this down. Given his shallow stack, your pushing here.

I think a fold is the correct play here. I see no problem with it.

Put your money in there when you are more certain you have the best of it. This is one of those marginal situations where your table image and his come into play.
