Default Blackjack

So, Party have just added Blackjack to the table view.

Realise this is not beatable in the long run. However, have just been on this site looking at basic strategy for Blackjack. Will be off to Eastern Europe in a couple of weeks and wouldn't mind playing in some casinos whilst on holiday - nothing serious and I don't expect to win - but would like to vaguely know what I'm doing.

On the site they say "Intercasino is a rare find among online casinos. Rather than shuffling after every hand, they deal 2 decks out of 8 between shuffles."

Has anyone used this site for Blackjack and, more importantly, does this make it beatable by counting cards? (I'm guessing not otherwise why would they do it?.. but would be interested in your thoughts)

Print and memorize. Better yet, buy a basic strategy card at a giftshop and take it to the table w/you.

The addition of -EV casino games is extremely bad. These will drain money from the poker economy.

This is a pretty good basic strategy engine. According to it, party has about a 0.18% edge on us. The typical poker player at $5/10 probably has a 10% edge against me, so I'm probably better off sticking to blackjack.

I agree. Would be interested in more 'skill based gaming' though. Trouble is that most, if not all, can be beaten by bots.

Stick to Blackjack. Just read your other post about giving away 10% of your income to poker!

LOL. I probably should stick to blackjack, but it may get boring after a while. Luckily, only a certain portion of my paycheck goes to a bank acount from which money can be transferred to PartyPoker. Otherwise, with my lack of poker skills and lack of discipline -- POOF! -- it would be all gone.
