Default McAllister tears ACL

[ QUOTE ]
Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports New Orleans Saints RB Deuce McAllister (knee) had an initial test on his injured knee, which showed a torn ACL. He will have a second opinion before deciding definitely on the season-ending surgery. All indications are that the Saints will have to continue without him for the remainder of the year.

McAllister was my #2 back, I have Portis to fill in, but this still hurts. Will Antowain Smith be any good? Does Ricky go back to N.O.?!!!!

Good news for me. I'm RB-barren in my 12-team keeper league, and before this week, the free agent list sorted by points looked like this:

Ayanbadejo
Sowell
Pass
Henderson

You get the idea. But somebody dropped Kevan Barlow, and now Antowain Smith looks like a good choice. I'm third in the waiver order, so hopefully I'll get one of the two, but given the choice of them both, who should I take? Forget long-term concerns; I just want a guy who will help me for the rest of 2005. Our league has a close-to-typical scoring system, but weights receptions a bit so pass-catching backs are a bonus.

Sounds like it is time to drop a Deuce.

Deuce is my #1 RB. Well looks like that is over. With the lack of quality RBs in the league, I am going to trade a lot to replace him.
