Default using 2nd laptop as a 2nd monitor

i'm thinking of upgrading my laptop for a new one. is it possible to use the old one as a 2nd monitor?

Don't know if this is what you are looking for, but there is a piece of software that will allow you to control 2 computers that are networked together using one keyboard and one mouse. The mouse just moves right from one computer's display to the next as you go off of the screen. I believe you can copy and paste from one to the next seemlessly as well. I can't remember the name of that software, but I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction.

thanks for the info. i might be able to get that to work, but it's not exactly what i'm looking for. i'd like to just play on my main laptop and have all the hand histories saved there and just treat the second computer as a monitor. this would also let me 8-table on party with only one account.
