Basically I hate how I played every street on this hand. Critiques and suggestions please. No significant reads on villain.

Reraise the flop minraise; value bet the river.

i really don't think this is that bad at all. I play the turn and river much the same except i fold to the turn bet on a drawless board, but generally im not seeing a lot of kjo in raised pots.

make preflop $4 and the hand plays much nicer.

I seem to run into AA or a set each time I see a board and min-raise like that.

Maybe I'm gun-shy here, but a min-raise lately has meant more strength then just TPGK.

I agree with fim, I don't mind the play. To reraise the flop would basically mean you're commiting yourself to this hand since Villain only has about $50 left. So to reraise him, you're basically putting him all in. He may actually call, who knows, but most the time if he calls for the rest of the stack, you're beat. I like the idea of just becoming passive and letting him bet away witht the worst hand. I like that anyway better than putting him all in after the flop without that much information on his hand.

I think I would have bet out on the safe turn - and folded to a raise. This is especially good if the raise on the flop was a semibluff.

Assuming opponent called, I would check-call a reasonable bet on the river.

I know everyone seems to be ok with your play here, and without wishing to become uncle agg, I agree with you that I don't like it.

pre flop seems ok - you get the ideal heads up. You're in a blind position when you raised pf so it could look like a steal.

the flop bet is standard. The min raise from villain I think is also pretty standard. I think he's betting that with a pair a lot of the time. He might (poss but horrible in my opinion) be block betting for a draw as well.

So your flat call I don't like. You're either ahead or behind. You have to think you're ahead as you're only behind to a set. If you're ahead you cant give free cards. If you're behind you need to find out.

For me I think you reraise to 28ish so he's paying another 14 to continue his test of you. Your call doesn't convey the strength of your hand.

If he calls then you can slow it down. If he raises he has a set.

To me your flat call makes life uncomfortable for so many cards that hit. Any spade, J, A, K, 7, 3 isn't going to be easy to call even a half pot bet on either of the next 2 betting rounds.

Default forgot to say......

sorry for lack of structure of these posts.

but, another important point. the only flop hand you're worried about is a set.

as you're heads up to see the flop the chances of this are far reduced than if it was a multi way flop.

So you can play your hand that much more confidently.
