Default Flop nut and i dont know how to play it

UTG is new so no reads other players are the loose-passive type.

Im not sure what line to take when it gets back to me on the flop. Its a great flop but theres a lot of cards that kill my hand. I couldnt see getting anymore folds on the flop so i decided to take the line of calling the raise from utg and leading out the turn hoping for utg to possibly raise again clearing the field out.
This an FPS type of play, should i just be pumping the flop

Wow, not 3-betting the flop sucks. You're in perfect position.

I would cap flop(if it comes down to that) if not 3-bet and charge for possible flush draws.

3-bet turn if utg raises.

What was the outcome?

No one with a draw to beat you is folding so you shouldn't think about protecting your hand.

The hands you are scared of on the flop:
- Flush Draw
- Two Pair
- Set

None of these are folding, so you might-as-well push your equity edge. Once the turn hits, you could already be beat, but almost any hand that beats you (except KT), is raising pre-flop.

Once you call the flop raise, you should try for a check-raise on the turn.

After looking at the hand again I think I like this line better. By checking turn the flop raiser will likely bet again and you may be able to trap the other players for 2 more bets when you check raise. Even though the turn is a bit scarey I still have to think you have the best hand on the turn.

I think this is one of those hands where i blanked and overthought what i needed to accomplish.

Can i consider folding this if it gets 3 bet by someone or it comes back 2 cold to me on the turn? if i took the turn c/r line

unless the river double pairs the board or completes the flush draw, I don't think I'm folding in this pot ever.

KQ, KJ, K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]x[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] among other things you are still ahead of will play this turn very agressively.

I just want to make a sort of psychological point:

Your mentality on this hand is totally wrong. Why are you worrying about "cards that can hurt your hand" and "getting folds" and "protection."

Any hand that has outs to beat you (two pair, a set, or a flush draw) is not going anywhere ever. So live it up, dude! You have the nuts! Your concern here should be entirely on VALUE .
