Whatever you say
Early in a home game tournament, Miguel limps from early position, Mario raises from late position everybody folds except Miguel who calls. Flop is A78 and Miguel checks, Mario bets half the pot and miguel calls. Turn is another 7, Miguel bets out some really weak amount, mario calls. River is a 4 and agian Miguel bets a weak amount and mario calls. Mario flips over AK and says, pair of aces, Miguel stands up flips over K8o and says "two pair" and grabs the pot.

Re: Whatever you say
And then Mario takes back the pot, because his cards speak and it doesn't matter what he said.

Just because verbal is binding dose not mean that you have to declare you hand in hold 'em. Anyone can call out what your hand is and once you've flipped it up the dealer calls it. |
