Live tournament 1st hand of the game KJs
Live indian tournament. Mostly bad players. Blinds are 25/50 we all have 2000 chips
All fold to me in MP2 and I raise with KJs to 150. MP3 calls, BUT calls, BB calls. Pot is 675 FLOP 5c 5h 4d, BB checks, I check, MP3 checks, BUT checks. I am pretty sure no one has anything. TURN 5c 5h 4d Tc BB checks, I bet 300, MP3 raises to 500 in one foul swoop, BUT folds, BB folds. Whats his hand? Do you call? |

Re: Live tournament 1st hand of the game KJs
you bet 300, villain raises to 500...is this legal?
whats his hand? if its all bad players, he is still likely ahead of king high. do i call? absolutely not, youre only out 450 chips, and against a bad field, that should be plenty |

Re: Live tournament 1st hand of the game KJs
he raised to 500. But good point I didnt realize that at the time. Maybe I bet 250. But I know he raised 500.
Anyways I thought about his hand for a while and finally figured out what he had. I did call with 15 outs and pot odds. AA-QQ I would have seen a reraise 66-JJ he would have bet the flop. A5s he would have bet the flop and wouldnt have called the PF raise. KT, QT he would not have called a raise. 44, 55? I dont think so he put no thought into his betting pattern. So I believed the only logical hand for this person to have was ATs. Its the only hand I could figure this fish calling preflop. I actually started talking about his hand to him since it was HU. Came a point where I told him I suspected he had AT. No response. I called and hit the flush when the Ac came. I bet 500 he instantly moved all in. Man if I ran into a boat of quads well Im screwed but in this case I didnt think so. I called he showed ATo. Pot odds were giving me 300 to call for 1175 with a 15 outer. 2x 1st hand was nice. |
