Default 80-160 last post.

Same group as other posts. 4-5 handed, wee hours, intimate group.

Villian in this hand is unimaginative prop, who is stuck and I mean stuck. I think it might have been Vu, but I am honestly not sure of his name. I am sure that it is NOT Henry.

Hand 1:

Villian opens raises from UTG/Cut Off, I 3-bet with 33 on the button. Both blinds fold.

Flop: Axx. Villian shakes his head in disgust just enough for me to notice. As I am thinking: ahh I have him, he bets. Now I am thinking WTF. My synapses go into hyperdrive. I'm now confused and befuddled. I call.

Turn and river were both x-x and check-check.

Hand 2:

Folded to Villain in SB who completes. I raise my option with red queens.

Flop: 10KK. Check, I bet, Villian check-raises, I call.

Turn: x. Bet, I call.

River: A. Check, I bet, he calls.

I bet the prop was Young Je, and if so, hand 1 would go with me raising on the flop and folding to a 3 bet. If he called, I'd fire on any turn card and give up if faced with any more resistance. If he calls again, check behind on teh river.

Hand 2, villain most certainly has just a T, but he may have hit AT on the river. Still, you should bet. Ni han.

Who are you?

Did you spend all of my money yet? I hope you bought her something nice. Better yet, how about you get another one of those lucky horseshoes?

I won more after you left. The money is in my apartment. I spent a little more than a small bet with the lady on dinner on Saturday night. I will play later this week if you want it back. Or you can break into my house.

I should've bet the turn with my KQ though.

I may play on Wed night, but probably just 40. I'll just stop by your apartment and get the money myself, later.

Its not Young Je either.

In Hand 1 I think against an unknown the right line is to raise the flop bet (which is so often a probe), bet any turn and check behind the river. But against a properly trained opponent I think the best line might be to call the flop bet, bet the turn if checked to and fold if bet into. Whatta you think?

As for who I am, I understand the curiosity. I have often wondered who you are.

There are lots of lines that one can take in hand 1. However, I can tell you that if you raise the flop bet and it's checked to you on the turn, then betting isn't as good as checking. You're not getting a better hand to fold, though if you get checkraised, you're gonna have to fold yourself. Just get to showdown and call the river, unless you improve.

Another line is the smooth call on the flop and riase the turn, check behind the river line.

Sometimes, calling down all the way may be best.

Finally, against certain players, Young Je included, the line that I originally stated is best. In any event, if you play these games and you don't vary your play in shorthanded games, you're gonna get slaughtered. Something to think about.
