Default My 6max debut - continue (lc)

Lost 6max cherry tonight - somewhat fun, very different...got called a rock with a VPIP of 35%, half of most others.

I have been a winning (7-8ptbb) Party 25 and 50 NL player (2 tables, full ring) - seems like a juicy game, maybe juicer than the already juicy full games

For those of you that play both, do you enjoy 6max or full ring more...and why?

I recently switched over to 6max from full ring and I noticed a huge difference in the amount of fish. In 6max the fish are far more willing to put their money in the middle, which means more for me. Mind you I'm playing .05/.1 so that might have something to do with it but since I've switched I'm making tons more than I did at full ring.

...and at the very least, I have yet to see many of the tight (10 VPIP) nutpeddlers that seem to be spawning at the full tables.

Only problem it is difficult to multitable, i used to play 4 tables full.

Just not possible for me 6. max., NL.

Max. 2-tables for me, because of the big amount of hands, and the importance of paying attention to your opponents.

I played 2-tables forever and then eventually added in a 3rd and then a 4th. It gets easier with practice.

6-max is in general a lot more fun. You get put in a lot more margianl situations, but thats really what makes the game more interesting.

That being said there is much more variance and 5 buyin swings happen relatively often.

But in the same respect it is much easier to capitalize on weaker people as they are much more willing to stack off on marginal hands for fear of being run over.

I found my game has much improved since making the switch, and it does wonders for your hand reading ability.

Your initiation to the Dark Side is almost complete once you become a full-fledged 4-tabler.
