Default Just Jacks

Party 5/10 10 handed.
Villain (BB) is TAG solid player from what I"ve seen.

Hero is UTG w/ J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero raises. MP calls. BB calls.

3players (7 small bets) see flop:

5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Villain checks. Hero bets. MP folds. Villain calls.

2 players, 4.5 BB to the turn:
9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero bets (?). Villain raises. Hero calls (?).

8.5 BB on River:
2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Villain bets. Hero calls. (?)

A turn check looks good, planning to bet or call the river. If a club falls, I like a raise. Change the K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] to T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ont he turn and I prefer a bet.

Your line isn't so bad, but it's awkward in this specific scenario, where you're putting in 3 bets with very little idea of where you stand.

I check the turn and let one bet go in on the river, unless he's not going to bluff here. It sure looks like a semi-bluff or a king.

I don't think we should give BB a free card, he likely has 5+ outs.

I think those saying check the turn are being influenced by the check-raise. If opponent has a high club, overcards or a pair, we don't want to give him a free chance to draw. If he has a king, he still have outs. Easy turn bet.

i agree. this is an easy turn bet. i'd probably check behind on the river UI if i'm called though.

i play this the same. calling the river is close, i guess it mostly depends on if this guy is capable of semibluffing the flush draw on the turn. if calling the river is wrong, i don't think it's by that much.
