Default Beware Party signup

When a new player downloads Party, there will be an ad in the top right corner of the lobby offering
30% upto $150.

If you intend to sign up using any code,
Do not click that ad.

This 30% is obviously better than any other sign-up available that I know of, so if that is ALL you are interested in, use it.

However, if you choose (for whatever reason) to use any code, do not click that ad.

If you do, any code that is entered will be overridden.

Nice find!

Too bad knowledge like this will disappear when the thread moves down. A knowledge base tool, a FAQ like sticky post would be a good thing in the forum.

I saw this a couple months ago, the test we did then suggested that it does NOT override your affiliate link. It was an extra bonus for the player and the affiliate stil got their cut.

That 30% bonus does not override the affiliate link/sign-up bonus code you used. It is a "deposit bonus code" and not a "sign-up bonus code". The sign-up bonus codes are the ones that track accounts to affiliates, not the deposit bonus codes.

On one occasion, I stood over a friend's shoulder, showed him how to download Party and sign up an account.
I watched him type in my "sign-up bonus code"... make a deposit... get 30%.

On a second occasion, I walked a friend through the procedure over the phone.....

Both clicked the ad in top right, checking it out.
Both entered my sign-up code.
Both got 30%.
Neither showed up under me.

When I contacted Party, I was told that their "investigation" showed no code in the code-box.

Your mileage may (or may not) vary.
