Paul Phillips. Just ask him:

"Top Ten: Daniel Negreanu, Scotty Nguyen, John Juanda, Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, Layne Flack, Gus Hansen, Can Kim Hua, Meng La, me."

(He was specifically talking about NLH tourney players)

I'll go with this one. None of us know what we're talking about anyway, so we might as well show some 2+2 love.

I was thinking Lindgren when I first read this, but Gigabet is a pretty damn good answer.

I think we should base this on their record at the WSOP ONLY.

Chip Jett and Erick Lindgren, each had only 5 final tables at the WSOP, surely there are some folks with a lot longer/better record out there.

Albeit I am using The Hendon Mob Poker Database to figure it out:

Erick Lindgren example @ http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/play...?a=r&n=534

Probably someone much much older deserves this honor, sure Erick and Chip are great players, but TV has clouded our minds.

Jennifer T. you had to go and WIN this year!
Non-followers of poker, will be stunned when she's shown winning on ESPN, I suppose.

edit : doh I misread your post

I would say Dustin Woolfe, he's new to the WSOP but has 2 final tables this year and seems to be a good tournament player but just hasn't had the luck at the end

No one will agree with me but to make TWO in the first half of your first year at the world series of poker is insanely good. he finished fourth and seventh

Dusty is nowhere close, although i respect his skill. Pretty sure Ted Forrest WON 3 events his first World series, and Moneymaker won his first ever event. 2 final tables do not come CLOSE to equating.
