Re: In response to DonkeysAlwysDrw and FieryJustice...
[ QUOTE ]
They think the only way to make it in life is to go to college, make lots of friends, and spend their life partying on the weekends, only to get a degree to make $50,000/year until they can retire. I know this is not the only way to make it. While i have chosen a life that isnt for everyone, I am sure it is for me and probably a few others on the forum. All it takes is discipline to not do anything too stupid that will leave you broke. So, i'm glad I have decided to not live a normal life. I'm sure that would be the mistake I would regret 50 years from now. [/ QUOTE ] Well, whatever way you take it, I do like going out. But Iam totaly with you with the rest of that. |

sounds like a good strategy: do what you want, if you find yourself really hungry and broke, change your story and hit the social services....................b

and spend their life partying on the weekends [/ QUOTE ] I don't party only at the weekends I used to think exactly like you, trust me I did, and it will pass when you realise what you are missing out on. |

[/ QUOTE ] How long will that take and what will prevent him from going to school then? As a rule I don't like the drop-out-from-college-for-poker plan, but in certain instances (and I think Firey is one) I don't think the downside exceeds the upside. |
