Blah I wanted to shoot myself after this hand.

Villain is a TAG over a very small sample. About 20/13/2.

4 handed at Eurobet

Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO caps. All others fold.

Flop 9sb: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero c/r's CO calls.

Turn 6.5bb: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Edit: Hero bets and 3-bets, CO caps.

At this point I put him on at least J8 (which makes no sense and I wasnt really thinking it was possible), AA-JJ or 77. T9 is possible I guess.

River line?

what are you 3betting the turn with besides 88/JJ? why is he capping??

OK, you say he is a TAG over a small sample... so he could actually be a donk, who knows. Anyway, lets think of some hands he could have...

AA-JJ
77
A-J
T-9

of these hands, 2 have you beat. There is no way you can fold on the river. If you are fairly confident that you are beat, check/call the river. There is definately a chance he has A-J, 77, AA, KK, QQ, or even J-8 which makes calling the river a must in that kind of pot.

Folding was out of the question. If the river was a 9 or T it wouldnt cross my mind.

or a 6 for that matter.

I bet/3Bet the river. There are only 3 combos of JJ (and if he has it then so be it) and I really doubt a Tight players as you describe him caps preflop with 46, 9T, and 69. He most likely has AJ or QQ-AA more so than JJ and is overplaying it. Fire away.

I'm going three bets on the river, anything less and I think that you are losing value. The only hand that beats you right now is JJ. It looks to me that honkey is grossly overplaying AA or KK. I just can't be worried about JJ enough not to put in three bets on this river

yes, there is a straight draw, but really, is a supposed TAG capping PF with 96 or 64, I really don't think so. I meant to say logical hand
