Stop calling raises with dominated hands. Get better reads and start laying down TPTK / overpairs. Watch predictable opponents that ALWAYS fold when the flush card hits and prey off them.

When you get the money in with the best hand, always make sure it holds up. If you're behind, you must never fail to draw out.

Play very tight at loose tables, very loose at tight tables. The former usually applies to low limit games, so you can usually do pretty well with basic ABC poker, but there are certainly advantages to switching up your game.

I would recommend you to get pokertracker and analyze which hands are losers or bad performers for you.

Also you could find someone that is willing to coach you by examining 200 hand histories of yours. Not hands that you thought was special but ordinary hands. There might be many BB/h in those hands aswell.

Here are some things that i learned for myself in the beginning (yeah, very basic at times but for all lurkers aswell):

Table selection! Dont sit at a table with several rocks and TAGs.

Don't go to far with hands that make 20 in blackjack, like KQ,QT,JT etc.

Bottom 2 pairs are seldom winners when the money gets in the middle.

Dont bluff too much but apply selective aggressivness.

Dont play small suited connectors unless you and your opponent have large stacks (or you can get in cheap) and you expect to get paid off.

Vary your playing style (tight, lose) in a session (only works with observant players).

Semibluffing can be a good way to disguise your hand and get paid off when you hit and also gives you a chance to take the pot right there.

Identify callingstations and try to isolate them when you have a good hand.

And perhaps the most important, keep reading/posting hands/ask questions on 2+2.

speaking of getting past break even. I had a pretty terrible night (for me at least) last night. Is there anyone out there that would be willing to look at a good chunk of my hand histories and give me some advice on if Im just playing bad or just a bad player? I don't want to post a bunch of boring hands on the board and have people get angry. I can take losing but it seems like lately I've been losing too much. I don't want to end up like redpill
