Does anyone else bet this flop? A checkraise just tells this guy we have him well covered, where if we bet, and he raises, we can 3-bet.

[/ QUOTE ] Betting this flop versus a TAG is almost like acting out of turn. I pretty much use checkraise exclusively and that doesn't tell him anything except I'm representing that I like my hand. Betting can work against players who have the leak of autoraising the flop for no actual reason other than chest-thumping. Against a player who understands that he can call the flop betting doesn't achieve much and can cost because you are preventing a bluff or semibluff. For example I would play TT call-call-call in his place and save myself a SB compared to getting checkraised and then calling down. |
