Default Nut flush draw from the BB, PFR from UTG

UTG in this hand was pretty tight and on the passive side, the other players were all LPP. I flopped the nut flush draw, but I wasn't sure if betting out was best or check/call. I thought check/call was best, since the PFR was immediately after me, and I thought the PFR might raise, thus facing them to call 2 cold. I feel like they were more likely to call one on the flop rather than 2.

Is this line of thinking correct? Or since the others were LPP should I just bet out? Or maybe go for the check/raise? Thanks.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG raises, 2 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, 3 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)

I would check and raise if I can trap some people.

I would check and call if I can't.

Yeah check-raising sounds better.
If they call one, they are going to call your raise as well.

Why trap people? I'd love to bet out and fold better aces than me, or weak kings that were scared by calling two cold. I bet here and HOPE to get raised.

Check, and read the action behind you, probably to raise. You definitely don't want UTG facing the field with 2 cold, so betting would be bad, and it's not going to kill you to give up a free card.

Because you're about 2:1 to make the nuts by the river. You don't want to fold better aces, because there really aren't better aces than the one that makes the nut flush, here.

You're also not folding a king, here, 2 bets or not.

No no. You are still drawing. You don't want UTG to fold anybody who is paying you to be in the pot. Let him continue on this flop and when the 2 donks in the middle call you can easily trap them for more.

I think that Hammer is talking about folding hands that have you beat if you spike an A or 7 (e.g., 65o or AT). This helps clear some of your outs, so now instead of having your 9 flush outs you have your 9 flush outs plus 3 Aces and 3 Sevens.
