I kinda like it.
Sure, it's risky to 3-bet the flop with a possible flush out there.
But this is not for sure and if there is one out there you still have outs.

I like it because you raise for value here. All the guys who call with one diamond will pay you off, if the 4th doesn't come, if it comes you know you are toast when you don't make your boat, so you save a bet when they hit.

What odds do I need to play 'any 2 suited' cards?

Assuming I'm closing the action and not worried about a 3bet behind me.

perfect from start to finish'

EDIT: preflop call is thin and requires postflop skill, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was +EV for a 2+2 micro-er against most other .5/1 players

Yeah, these kinds of preflop calls require a certain degree of post-flop skill to be profitable, but note that this hand is perfect. Hero has great relative position on the preflop raiser so if he flops middle pair or some other marginal holding he gets to see all the action before he has to commit to his hand.

I think the pre-flop call is ok here, as you are closing the action getting 9.5-1 odds. You'll have to hit a pretty good flop to continue with the hand.

The flop is almost as good as you could ask for, except for the fact that it is monotone. Betting out is correct, and I would hope that since UTG+1 raised pre-flop that he will raise the bet and the rest of the field will be faced with having to call 2 bets cold. MP2 raising could be anything, such as a flush or flush draw, a possible set, etc. I believe I would play it just as you did on the flop. I like the suggestion of pulling a stop and go, but I don't understand the play completely enough myself (see disclaimer above).

The turn card is extremely favorable, I think you have to bet so as to not give a free card. I wouldn't fold to a raise, so I would call if raised back to me.

The river card is terrible for your hand. When it's 2 back to you, you just have to fold.

*blind post*

I think you had the right line here, except 3-betting the flop may be a tad bit too aggressive. I say you lead out if a non scary turn card comes out (no diamonds, 8s, 9s, etc.)

The fold on the river is obvious.

This is a pretty questionable preflop call also. You have 3 coldcallers (IIRC), and the raiser was UTG (bad news).

Personally, I throw this away.

9:1 any two suited cards will do, 7:1, I'm still playing hands like T7s.
