A9 for bottom pair HU - how would you play it?
Villain has played 8 of 10 hands that he was dealt in and raises 0.
Would you play it other way? (check turn or may be fold flop?) Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 3 folds, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, MP1 calls. I think this is fine.

Re: A9 for bottom pair HU - how would you play it?
Did you have any sense how the villain played post-flop?
You're usually behind here against a straightforward player. I don't mind this line, but without a read on his post-flop play I think calling the flop and folding the turn unimproved is a better line. |

Re: A9 for bottom pair HU - how would you play it?
I would've checked behind on the turn. Unless he is a habitual bluffer, a donk bet on the flop from the calling station to the preflop raiser usually means that he's got someting. And you only have a bottom pair.

Re: A9 for bottom pair HU - how would you play it?
I think I would have bet the river. He mostlikely has something because of his folp bet, but I doubt he has trips because most players would 3-bet with top pair heads up.

This works, but I also saw the turn and river action before I decided whether or not it is the right line.
With a straight forward Loose passive, you are probably better to call the flop and fold the turn UI. |
