TT with limpers in front PF decision
Playing at a $5 UB turbo sng, 100BB level. The table was limping way to loosely espicially at this level. 7 or 8 remaining (I'm posting from memory), stack varying between 1300 and 3000, I had about 2500. 3 players limp, all loose passive to semi-aggresive, all thier stacks are between 1300 and 1700.
I have TT in CO+1. I raised to 800, a little higher than normal, but i really want to end this hand early. The button goes all in for 2000. He seemed like a solid player for the buyin. folds to me. I thought there was a good enough chance he had AK to take the 2.7-1 odds (I actually was thinking 3 to 1 at the time) and called. Any thoughts on the initial raise? Any thoughts on the call? |

Re: TT with limpers in front PF decision
if you were certain that they are the type of players that limp and fold to a big raise, then do it. otherwise just limp. i definitely think calling is a good idea here considering the odds

Re: TT with limpers in front PF decision
I think limping was the best play here, but i just hate to play TT for not much better than set value, espicially the way the table was limping so much at the 100 level.

How much is your stack right now?
If your stack is about 2k, I guess I just limp, though I'm tempted to push (never raise to t800 here). |

Hero limps, plays position, plays his stack against limpers who have worse cards than he does.
That sound good? |

Re: TT with limpers in front PF decision
I limp and hope to hit a set. An overpair works, though not quite as well. ATx is your dream flop.
[ QUOTE ] 3 players limp, all loose passive to semi-aggresive [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I thought there was a good enough chance he had AK [/ QUOTE ] These two statements are, in my mind, contradictory. You've made an incorrect assessment in regards to the first statement, or it's wishful thinking in the second. Determine which you feel is more likely, and play accordingly. |

Re: TT with limpers in front PF decision
Yeah thats probally the best I can get, but i figured calling would make at least 6 hands see the flop if it stayed unraised. So if an over hit, and it most likely would, I was probally behind , but it would have been good odds to play for a set.
Do you raise with jacks here? queens is an easy big raise right? |

Dump it if there's an over card, and get excited when you flop a set. I limp with jacks and raise with queens. |

The limpers were the loose assortment, the button (reraiser) seemed solid.
