Yes I agree with that play 100%, and if he reraises I go all in.

Wow I don't know what to say in response to this post. First of all, calling on the flop doesn't "disguise your hand." Second of all, good players with an overpair are not going to keep firing every street, they'll check the turn behind to control the pot in a WA/WB situation.

Third of all, your read is off I put him on K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. (I didn't really, for clarification, I'm just mocking how you very astutely have put him on one specific hand).

If you want to make money, this line sucks. The one you suggested and the one OP took. It's the most transparent thing ever and you get no money in. Of course, you'd have gotten 25 more of my dollars than OP because I think a full pot at the end is ludicrous as it can't be a blocker and it can't be a bluff, as I said before, and I'm mucking JJ there. It's tough to play out of position and build pots, that being said, betting at some point during the hand helps that happen.

The players at these stakes scare easily- you are going to get a lot of overpair folds on the turn with this line. I like betting the flop and calling a raise, check-calling the turn, and leading the river. You are gonna lose a lot of players with a check/raise on the turn. They will bet the turn, planning to check behind on the river... but you will not give them the chance! MWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!

Who said were playing against a good player? Wasnt aware that our opponent was Todd Brunson. And the KQ was not to be an exact read, but a guesstimate. Your mock of it was comedic genious, though.

Calling raises from the blinds is generally not a good idea. If you're going to call a raise from the blinds with a drawing hand then you want to see more players in the pot.

Generally you lead with a strong hand. Checking to the raiser with the intention of re-raising may work, but is not preferred (see SSH) way to play a strong hand without a read.

When you call villains weak lead bet what kind of hand do you think he puts you on?

The problem I have with your play is letting villain see the turn and river for $20 when you know any overcard (like the T) can kill you. Is villain looking for a free card when he checks behind on the turn or is he inducing a bluff?

I'd say he's looking for a free card because there's nothing there for you to represent a bluff. When you bet the pot at the river I have to put you squarely on a 7. He probably doesn't have a read on you either so I don't see how he can call.

I like the preflop call.

Lead the flop with a potbet. If he raises you, reraise.

A good day you get all the money in on the flop against an overpair as a huge favourite.
