Using ICM
I have read the FAQ and looked at the different tools to help calculate ICM and % to win. Do most of you sucessful players have these tools open when playing or are ICM calculations best for studying different situations off the table like HOH2's SHAL. I have been using HOH's M system, but have read agruments that ICM is a much better way to determine the best play in SNG's.

Re: Using ICM
yeah, ICM is more important than M in sngs
if u use sngpt, then after the game you can load your hh into the program and quickly check the +/- ev of every situation and then play with calling ranges, blind sizes, stack sizes, and "compute all" to start getting an intuition by building models of what situations are + to push what cards... u don't need to run it while in the game...u just need to use it with each hh after you play bubbles and build that intuition u can also read the push/fold posts here to hone your instincts as well |
