Re: I just got tabled coached (angry, but there\'s content!)
Given your read, shouldn't you be raising the flop, taking the free card, and folding river unimproved?

[/ QUOTE ] im actually not sure about this one. i mainly dont know if ill get a free card--i raise for a free card so often that im not sure if he'll donk me here on the turn or whether he'll 3bet me. usually i just call donks with 2 overs. |

Re: I just got tabled coached (angry, but there\'s content!)
I like the way the hand was played. You have a read, if your read is right against the donker u have 6 outs (if they are clean)...the thing that could turn it is the sb being in.
Anyway, I guess the flop can be argued, reading the hand...and this part really depends on the situation and its just a thought...if he might fold, then when the T hits I might even raise the turn sometimes...(dunno, might be slim and not worth it, but if there is some possibility of him folding added to the fact u could be looking at 14 outs). Also, I think this thread has some good material that could be utilized in Season 2 of Tilt. EDIT: Your flop call is not bad with the read, with the SB in it may be slightly + or - EV, or even breakeven EV...but on the turn u are going to the river. So whoever lent u a piece of their mind needs to STFU. Sure, Mt Table Coach, its lame your mid pair didnt hold up...or that you improved at the same time as OP did...oh well it happens. [censored] dude, thats poker. |

Re: I just got tabled coached (angry, but there\'s content!)
Based on his read (he had 2 overcards), and my mistake (we also have a gutshot). If I actually had a gutshot + 2 overcards, and I do not fear a 3-bet (which is unlikely from a middle pair), then a raise is a decent enough play (10 outs, at least 7 are probably clean, probably 8-9 good on average).
OK, I see your parody, very funny I'm not very with it today. I'm going to stop posting now. |

Why do you think this is a 2+2'er (river?!) and where is the gutshot he is talking about?

Re: I just got tabled coached (angry, but there\'s content!)
Looks like you basically tilted on this one and "went after" the guy. 7 to 1 not closing the action is simply a poor price for what is no better than a 6-7 outer (and may be more like a backdoor draw if BB happens to be mixing it up and has a Q, or SB has a Q, which would be right in his coldcalling bullseye region.) My suggestion would be to relax a bit and focus on making correct plays instead of getting into pissing matches. If this guy is really that predictable, then there will be plenty of opportunities for you to use this information against him profitably in the future. This wasn't one of them.
