After a tame pre-flop, everyone really seemed to like that flop, especially SB. Rank in order from best to worst: Raise, call, and fold. Also, what is our plan for the river? |

I call down.
Call 1 bet on the river. Fold 2 or more, and fold to an Ace. |

If MP has half a brain, you can probably fold to a club, too.

1.Call
2.Raise 3.Fold It looks like SB has a decent hand and either made a set or 2 pair on the flop. I imagine 33 or 66 is the most likely. You have 8 outs to improve by the river against 2 pair, and 2 outs against a set. I would call the turn, and call the river unimproved in case your hand is good. (Unless say a 3rd [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] fell on the river or the board paired and there was betting and raising in front of me, in which case I would fold.) |

I'd most likely put SB on a set, and UTG on a Flush draw A-x suited. Think you're WB. Pot odd aren't there for 2 outs. Either fold now, or call down. |

It became quite apparent I was way behind after the heavy action on the seemingly ragged flop. With that in mind, what are our reasons for calling down as opposed to folding?

Your only real option here it to call in my opinion. Pot is too big to fold an overpair and there is a good chance you'll get 3-bet by raising. Hopefully SB is pushing a flush draw or two pair.
And since you asked: Call, Raise, Fold |

Just call down. You can be against overpairs, two pairs and flush draws. The pot is too big to fold. If the board pairs and both of them slow down. Bet because its a high likelyhood their two pair got counterfitted.
