Could I have played this better?

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (6 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(6 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="CC3333">Hero bets</font>, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds.

Turn: (4 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(2 players)</font>
<font color="CC3333">Hero bets</font>, MP2 calls.

River: (6 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(2 players)</font>

Better yet, why oh why when your opponent bet into you after you checked the river, did you not raise him?

I agree. I was too weak-tight here. I won't get scared off so easily next time (need to finish SSH and WLLH out of my system!).

Opponent shows Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and MHING.

Hi,

I agree with everyone's why oh why comments, but would also like to add maybe in a family pot with the nut straight I would c/r the flush draws out?

Tough luck. It worked out well for you this time, but that's an incredible outdraw for you not to take this pot down, and MP2 played it horribly on every street but the river. Don't let it affect the play you know is right - you should be betting that river everytime and calling a raise.
