Re: Stars vs. Party...is the gap closing?
[ QUOTE ]
I only hope the ring games loosen up in the next few months as well. [/ QUOTE ] Pokerpulse as of right now: Party Poker: Ring Game Players - 12761 Tourney Players - 13757 PokerStars - Ring Game Players - 3573 (28% of Party) Tourney Players - 11205 (81%) Party's market share of ring games is astounding. The ratio doesnt change much at night. While Stars (or any other site) could try lure people over with more bonuses, Party's reload bonuses are now 25%, and they work off a TON faster than some other (UB) cash game bonuses do. In short, it looks like Party's stronghold on cash games is not going away any time soon. |

Re: Stars vs. Party...is the gap closing?
Something is puzzling me. The common perception is that Stars' ring games are more difficult to beat and therefore most of the bonus whores and other pros/semi-pros chose not to play ring games there. If so, then it would follow that there should be less strong players on Stars, and therefore the games should be softer.
Any solution to this paradox? |

Don't know about a solution, but Stars low-limit players are weak-tight beatable, while Party are loose-passive. I know which I prefer.
