Re: AQ suited vs. SB raiser
first of all, slowplaying is wrong here.
second of all, in order to slowplay, it's generally a good idea to know you have the best hand. since he'll 3-bet preflop with AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AK, or sometimes AQ, a lot of the time, you're not going to have the best hand here. if you want to raise the flop, go ahead, but once you get 3-bet, you have to start considering the possibility that you're beat. |

Re: AQ suited vs. SB raiser
raise and cap the flop, you want to get SB heads up if possible. Call down if unimproved. What is your read of this guy, is he the type of player that 3-bets AT preflop, or even better, AJ? Has he been very aggressive pre-flop. If not, you are likely against a set, but see the river anyway as you have you have maybe 5 clean outs to improve. W/o a read I'm putting him on AK or a set of queens, jacks or aces. Either way you lost on the river. Tough play.

Re: AQ suited vs. SB raiser
You need to raise this flop 100% of the time. If you get 3-bet, just call turn and river.

[/ QUOTE ] I hadn't been at the table too long, but SB wasn't playing many hands and he hadn't raised pre-flop enough to notice. I was putting him on a high pocket pair or AK, AQ, after his three-bet. |
