Hesitant to move up in Limits
A week ago I deposited $25 dollars and started playing .50-1. My goal was to play at each level until I reached 25BB to play at a higher level. I played $3-6 Yesterday and now I have $360. I have over 250 so I could play $5-10 limit but for some reason I am heistant. Is there a big difference between 3-6 and 5-10. Or should I just stick to 3-6??? or Cash out and start over again??

[/ QUOTE ] If you intend to play poker for a while without having to deposit more money, you should move down to $0.50/$1. You are not sufficiently bankrolled for 5/10.

2. You have totally skewed ideas about what is "enough" to play a certain limit. $250 is enough for one buy-in at $5-10. Which means it is the amount you can expect to vary one way or the other in one, relatively short sitting. 3. The standard rule here is not to play a limit unless you have 300BB as a bankroll. So, you shouldn't have moved up to 3-6 until you hit $1800. 4. Go back to .5-1 and work on your game. If you aren't able to control the desire to play over your head you are going to go broke. This is one of the classic mistakes all poker players make. The level you play should not really be an ego thing. Play where you are comfortable both financially and as to skill.

You need at LEAST $900 to play $3/6. Go learn about bankroll management. Right now you have been running hot but one bad day will make you go completely broke. 25 BB is not even close to optimal bankroll size. The general rule of thumb is 300BB, but 150BB is usually fine at the lower limits if you are a GOOD player (which you are NOT if you didnt know this). This reckless style of bankroll management you are using is pure gambling and you will go broke very soon.

You are playing way higher than your bankroll can support. So far you've been lucky not to have a bad session. If you continue to risk your entire bankroll, it's inevitable that you'll loose it - think of yourself as continually playing "double or nothing". You can get 10 "doubles" in a row but one "nothing" ruins it all.
Even if you're just taking a small shot and moving back down if you lose, build up 100BBs before trying it out. With $250, you shouldn't be playing any higher than 1/2 and probably .5/1. And yes, there's a decent differnce between 3/6 and 5/10.
