Others for me... Righteous Brothers songs like Unchained Melody, etc, most of their stuff, really.

and "Spiderwebs" and "I'm just a Girl" by No Doubt.

Meatloaf - You took the words right out of my mouth, 2 out of 3
I gotta feeling I should be embarrassed about this, cos no-one ever says they like the big guy

[/ QUOTE ]

I'll second this. I also like another song from Bat Out of Hell called, "For Cryin' Out Loud."

We were talking about the Streets of Fire soundtrack yesterday...the guy that wrote/produced these Meatloaf tunes also wrote Nowhere Fast and Tonight is What it Means To Be Young from the Sts of Fire 'track. Also wrote Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" which is a song on this embarrassing list for me.

More? Anything by Herman's Hermits, esp. Something Tells Me I'm Into Something Good, and Henry the VIII.

Sixpence None the Richer - Kiss Me

Believe me, I'm embarassed.

in context, this song rocks. the image of Laney Boggs (RLC) coming down the stairs after being made over into a hottie makes it a great song.

This one doesn't fit the 80's genre, but:
Time to Say Goodbye - Sarah Brightman/Andrea Bocelli

[/ QUOTE ]
my wife and I used this as our processional at our wedding. she liked the song and I agreed because it was the "Bellagio Song".

I really like Sailing by Christopher Cross. For some reason is voice is pretty soothing. I also like Chris Isaak, I would normally never admit to either, but what the hell.

In high school, I was into reggae and rock, and always bagged on the euro trash pop music that my friends listened to. then, a few years ago when my wife and i started dancing, i found that a lot of that stuff has a very cool beat (cha cha). because of this, I'd say The Promise and Bizzare Love Triangle.

also, that 80's euro-pop-trash song with the cool animation/live action video. I can't even remember the song, but the video was cool enough for me to say that I like the music (as retarted as that may be).

This song always reminds Frank Dreben of a girl he once loved.

Christopher Cross would have been one of the biggest stars in the world in the 80's if he didn't look like Kyle Gass:
