Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises, 3 folds, Button 3-bets, 2 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (5.75 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, Button calls.

River: (11.75 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets.

plan on folding to a raise on the river is that to tight? this was the first hand i played in like 3 orbits and i decided to loosen up.

Well, you'd be making a huge mistake to fold to a raise on the river with the pot being this size. Huge. If you were so worried that he might have you beaten, you could check and call the river. But folding would be as weak and dumb a thing as anyone could do with these pot odds and a set. He could have any number of hands that he's trying to push through or thinks are good that would not come close to beating your set.

Just my opinion.

preflop: i dont like this raise. fold is the best option. call is second best. its unlikely that you can pick up the blinds and if you get raised you are in bad shape. against any mediocre hand you have a coinflip at best.

flop and turn is ok.

river: he probably has an ace (AK to be exact). i would just call him down.

I'm not much for the S&G here. I think you 3-bet the flop and lead the turn. Without a read, I would Check/Call the river. You're going to see AK a lot here, IMO. I wouldn't raise 55 from MP1 very often.

i usually don't raise this preflop much but i wanted to play a few more hands for image purposes, i had played 2 hands in like 3.5 orbit, i just can't see him raising my river bet without a Ace.

i can't see him raising the river without an ace either, but you get so good odds for that call that it is questionable not to call.

Ugghh. I hate the raise PF. You will get called here by hands that are slight underdogs/huge favorites, and in the worst cases, you get isolated by another player OOP.

C/c the river, don't bet/fold. You want to see a showdown.

I like your flop play, i think you are extracting maximum value this way.
He will raise here with pretty much everything to bet turn w good hand or to take a free card.

On turn you might be called down by a pp or raised by Ak wich both are good.

Dont fold to a river raise though.
And id fold 55 preflop.

If he raises on the river I would still call because the pot is pretty HUGE. If you plan on folding to a raise here, then why NOT just check with the intention of calling a bet????

Seems good. Consider a check/call on the river - he will probably represent the ace if he doesn't have it. Betting and folding to a raise would be the second option, unless villian is a LAG. I honestly can't see why bet/call would be the best option; villain will most likely fold any non-ace hand while autoraising any ace.
