Default Party Support is Hilarious

I was bored last night, and sent this e-mail to Party and Stars to see what they would say.

---------------------------------------
Hi,

I had a question regarding the randomizer at PartyPoker. Is it randomized
based on a set time, or does things such as who enters the pot affect things.

My main concern is if someone could use a time machine to find out future
cards. If the PartyPoker randomizer randomized cards based on action, then the
future will always be different depending on the action of the player using
the time machine. However, if they were static and did not change, the
player with the time machine would gain an unfair advantage.

Thank you for your help

Party's reply:

Thank you for contacting us.

Please note that it is not possible to go back into time and so to say what may or may not be possible without the appropriate experience and evidence would be inappropriate.

However, you could probably find an answer in how the system works in an offline land based casino. Let us assume that the deck has been shuffled by the dealer and he is distributing the cards then; would the action of the players on the table really make a difference to what cards the dealer would deal?

The answer is a definite no; because the deck has already been shuffled and the dealer would deal the cards in line no matter what actions are taken by the player. This is how even our system works.

That was why I stated that the answer to your question as to whether time travel and a different action of *betting* by the last player would make a difference, was an absolute no.

However, if we do take your assumption that time travel is possible then just as the players have a fresh choice of options; similarly the dealer would also have a fresh start at shuffling the cards. This time he could shuffle the deck differently and hence the out come of the cards would be different.

Then again if your time traveling technology is in its infancy and limited to being able to go back only to the point after the deck has already been shuffled by the dealer(or our system) then; although all the players now have a fresh start at things the cards dealt by the dealer would be the same. This is simply because the dealer has already exercised his option of shuffling the cards and the option had been the same.

We hope this resolves your issue for you and hope that is not to complex or hard for you to understand. However, if you still have any issues you may contact us and we would be glad to assist you.

Contact us anytime, we are available around the clock to assist you with your account related questions and suggestions.

Stars just gave a form response about the random number generator, and how other sites' random number generator suck, but Stars' is fine.
