Hell, I stand up and leave when the table fish busts -- what's wrong with that? It's not making fun of anyone, especially when he's out of earshot.

[/ QUOTE ]

30 feet isn't really out of earshot. You want to give the fish a chance to leave before you get up.

Congratulations, you openly mocked and possibly embarrassed the type of player that makes the game worth playing. Next time maybe you should spit on him and call him names, too.

because HIS seat is open because HE is leaving because the fish is GONE. i pictured the situation in my head and it made sense right away, a high limit shorthanded game loses its fish, the other 4 leave because they dont want to play 4 handed with fairly good players, they all know this, they all know the others know this, therefore it was a pretty witty, well timed remark by all, nh.

Right. It makes no sense any other way.

I agree with this. Anyway, the point of the post was to show that the fish was out of earshot -- the "30 feet" remark was just an estimate, and not an exact measurement made with today's top landscaping technology; whatever the distance, the OP made it clear that the guy was Gone.

"Openly mocked?" Gimme a break. This is the nittiest bunch of responses to a low content, off-the-cuff, funny-story post I've seen on 2+2 to date.

Totally agree. Could be that this board is filled with posters actively searching for opportunities to be aggressive.
