flop raise sucks-> your hand isn't as strong as it appears to be when made straight is possible. call is ok i guess, 2:1 odds on a decent draw.

I think your point does discount some of the hand's value, but I'm still looking for a way to take control of the action here. IMO you can't just call off your chips in this spot, regardless of position. |

[/ QUOTE ] consider villans hand range when he bets into 4 players first to act. calling here makes it hard for hero to get the money in as an underdog as opposed to raising and very likely being reraised and getting the money in as an underdog. |
