Hero checks, Button bets $63, Hero calls $63.

Final Pot: $189

there's no way he puts me on the straight, it looks very much like i have an overpair, so he could easily have 2 pair or a set and think for sure he's got me, did i play this too passivly?

btw my read on this guy is that he's ok, a little on the aggresive side

edit: there was a dead small blind, one big blind of $1

Uh... Where exactly were you passive on this hand?

I don't get the PFR with 53 UTG, but I wouldn't call it passive. I think the better question is do you call the river. With the flush on the turn, if you're hand is still good, I don't see you making any more on this hand.

well, if i check-raise the river, would he call with 2 pair or a set?

before i posted this hand i sort of forgot to factor in that he thinks i could have a flush with like AK[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]-AJ[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], so yeah i guess river check raise is out of the question....

or is it?

I would definitely bet a good amount on the turn and fold to a raise. You'll still get called by set and two pair a lot of the time and get raised only when villain has a flush. And wouldn't it suck if villain had a lone spade and another spade comes on the river?
